TMS won by a score of 26-14 in a game dominated by the eighth graders. The seventh graders also won in thrilling fashion by coming from behind in the fourth quarter to grab a victory. • 5:20 Defining Love: Periods 1,2,3

Students were asked to come up with their own definitions of love. The final activity in the unit was to write a five-paragraph essay which focused on defining love through example, negation, and function. I don't own the rights to the songs in this, but I added some endnotes. I hate using that canned YouTube music. Thanks to some oldies but goodies: Softcell's "Tainted Love" and Tom Petty's "I Need to Know."

  • 4:48 Afternoon Love Definition

Students were asked to come up with their own definitions of love. The culminating activity of this special Valentine's Edition is to create a definition essay using a function, an example, and negation. I don't own the rights to the music to this one; I hope Pink doesn't mind. I put an endnote at the end of the film. Coincidentally, after using this song in the film, I found out that the choirs will be singing this song at the upcoming concert. I can't wait to hear that one.
